What does the HR Manager / Specialist do at Hidden Profits Marketing?

You are a very central person in our company! You are the 'go to' person for all the HR related topics. From personal development to recruitment. From personal conversations with team members to management advices and suggestions to improve the HR for team/company. In the last years we grew to a team of 50 people and HR became a big focuspoint. A lot of processes have been created and professionalized in the last years. But there is still (always?) room for improvement. You are getting challenged to do this! You will work closely with the CEO and Operations Director.  Your tasks involve a.o.: 

  • Personal Development plans and guidance/promotion for our team
  • Recruitment and assisting in interviewing and signing new HPM employees
  • Contract- and salary management
  • Overseeing inflow and outflow of HPM employees (HR forecasting)
  • Maintaining employee records and files
  • Being go-to trust person for all HR related topics
  • Ensuring up-to-date knowledge of law and regulations in the field of labour law, pensions, working conditions, sickness absence and social insurance
  • Party- and outing organisation (with party squad)
  • Necessary office management (estimation: 20% off your time). 

Who are you?

We are a young and rather 'fast' company. Meaning you like to work with a young team in a company where we always look for change and improvement. Work mentality is something we value over years of experience. Ideally you are in your second or third step of your career. Other then that:

  • English: advanced (our internal company language is English). Dutch and/or German are a 'nice to have'
  • Being a self-starter with a hands-on mentality; given the size of our company there is no HR team. You work indipendity with an intern and cooperate a lot with the managers/directors
  • Having the ability to work independently and the drive to build an HR department
  • Having a reliable and empathetic personality
  • Having experience in working with international teams
  • Having excellent communication skills
  • Having the ability to deal with stress and tight deadlines
  • Having the willingness to learn something new every day
  • HR related bachalor degree and/or 2+ years work experience in Human Resources
  • Residing in Amsterdam or near surroundings (our office is in Amsterdam Noord)
