Stop marketing in the past, start marketing your health club or gym using the marketing tools of today

Posted on 04-10-2016

In March of 2014, Gary Vaynerchuk was the keynote speaker at the IHRSA Convention. He addressed strongly: fitness & health entrepreneurs should stop! Stop marketing their fitness business like it's 1997 or 2004.

Why listen to Gary Vaynerchuk and what is he to the fitness industry?

Gary Vaynerchuk may be the #1 social marketing expert in the world. he is not just a consultant, but he actually builds businesses. Multiple businesses with a yearly revenue of $ 100 Million each! Hidden Profits Marketing in the person of Aernout Leezenberg qualified as his exclusive distribution partner

Stop marketing in the past, it's not 2004 or 1997 anymore

At the IHRSA Convention, Vaynerchuk stated that (quote): “I researched a bunch of businesses (that are here) and the biggest takeaway is this room is marketing like it is 2004,” he said. “You are like many other businesses. You need to market in the year you are in. I actually market 18 months ahead.” Source: IHRSA keynote speaker Gary Vaynerchuk (video). and how about this blog by fitness industry veteran Bryan O'Rourke about his keynote at #IHRSA2014.

Market your health club using tools we use today

To start with, that means using online tools. Think of Facebook, Google, Instagram, Snapchat. Everybody is online, everybody is using social media all the time. Of course, people are still using email. But remember the time when you literally opened all of your email, 100%? How about now, with your overcrowded inbox? I guess you open maybe 30%. It's not just you, it's exactly the same for everybody. So email works, but maybe just 30%. The other tools mentioned, work up to 100%.

In fitness & gym marketing, it all starts with 1 thing: attention!

However nice or creative your gym marketing is, it all starts with attention. Grabbing your audience's attention. Want to know how to promote your health club or gym on Facebook? And get a stream of leads? We challenge you! Check this short video and after that see how you can grab attention on Facebook, guaranteed.

So, are you ready to promote your health club or gym on Facebook?
